Forum Archive - index layout
Been wondering if should change the layout of the Atlas index…
Occurs to me that at the moment we narrow straight in on Cepilos which is good, but maybe it would make more sense if we stated at the maximum level and zoomed in (so start with cosmos, then each plane, then on mortal plane 1 have each nearspace area (inc monderal and environs) etc… at the moment there is a bit of a jump in the order of things which might get tricky once we start filling in other continents / space places / planes…
I was also wondering about the layout. The current system pretty easy to load into / shuffle around – but the page is getting unwieldy – I was wondering if anyone knows / can work out how to do things like nested or expandable lists within the page – or even if anyone wants to dev a better format of spacings and tabulations to give a clearer atlas index layout…
Those look pretty cool. I was wondering if we could get collapsing sections within the same page – have you seen any sites on obsidian with that type?
I’m getting more used to the layout of their source on here but haven’t looked yet how to do pics as links (if thats what they’re doing for those two example indexes)...
I’ve had a look through a fair few campaign pages now, and a lot of them are very pro and nifty, but unfortunately I can’t find a single one that has collapsible menus without having to reload/redirect the page:(. Maybe it’s just something that is not possible with textile/limited html formatting?
ah well, looks like we’ll have to end up with some kind of multi page index then, like in the examples.
How much branching should we do? (might be a bit of a moot point anyway, don’t know if the site going to expand much more now…)
